Image Processing Technologies’ digital image portfolio currently consists of 14 patents and one pending patent application related to identification and tracking of objects in digital imaging. The technology is widely used in the fields of digital cameras and camcorders, drowsy driver detection, video surveillance, video gaming, and medical imaging.
The technology embodied in this portfolio was the result of development of a Generic Visual Perception Processor (GVPP), a system designed to detect the presence of objects in a motion video signal, then locate and track those objects as they move in real time. The technology was developed by Patrick Pirim of Bureau d’Etudes Vision (BEV), a French technology research company beginning in 1986.
Through its licensing efforts, Image Processing Technologies acquired from a licensee a second portfolio of 22 patents related to printer cartridge technology.
Image Processing Technologies is a subsidiary of General Patent Corporation (GPC), a leading patent monetization firm. GPC is the managing member of Image Processing Technologies LLC and is the exclusive licensing agent for the company’s patents.
A non-exclusive license under the IPT patents is available on reasonable and non-discriminatory terms. For licensing terms, please contact Kathlene Ingham at (845) 368-4000 x107.
